Practice Management Team
SLLP’s Practice Management team provide business, IT and administrative support to the practice and maintain SLLP’s ISO 9001:2015 accreditation. The team also run the support desk for the award winning Digital Courtrooms.
Paul Phelan, Head of Practice
Paul qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive in 2003 and worked in-house for a PLC before joining Merton’s property team in 2007. He made the move into Practice Management in 2010 becoming Merton’s Legal Practice Manager. He has played a key role in the bringing together of all five London boroughs that make up the South London Legal Partnership and is now the Head of Practice.
Paul is a lawyer but in this role runs all the non fee-earning elements of the practice which means more or less anything that isn’t the direct provision of legal advice. He has a team of about 16 and they are the engine room that helps the SLLP run. He is involved in the improvement projects that the practice undertakes – this includes leading an award winning project to digitise the children’s courts in London.
Natasha Nahrwold, Practice Manager
Natasha joined the Merton and Richmond Shared Legal Service as a Business Admin Apprentice back in 2012. Since then she has had a few different roles during the creation and expansion of SLLP and in 2017 she then became the Legal Systems Manager.
Natasha is now the Practice Manager managing various financial and business aspects of the organisation as well as the continued development of IT to the 5 borough legal partnership. She also leads on managing the electronic bundling system provided in various children’s courts across London.
