Joining our team, you’ll deal with a wide ranging mixed caseload of complex, contentious and non-contentious matters. From discrimination and equalities issues, to whistle blowing and unfair dismissal cases, you’ll offer expert advice on negotiating settlement agreements, whilst comfortably assisting with TUPE and pension related queries. A knowledge of Information Law and employers’ liability issues, together with the ability to deal with atypical cases in a practical way would also be helpful.
Property Lawyer (x2) - Housing / Commercial
ME14: £42,844.38 - £44,790 + upto £8,000 Market Supplement
This role will see you providing support and advice on complex residential regeneration schemes, as well as advising on innovative ways of developing existing housing stock management. You’ll handle a range of housing stock management transactions across five councils - and you’ll need experience in a similar environment to be successful. You should also be confident supervising a team of lawyers, conducting routine conveyancing matters of local authority housing stock, and managing teams.
ME16 £49827- £51,837 + upto £5,000 Market Supplement
Overseeing a wide ranging mixed caseload, you’ll advise on strategic planning and operational development; drafting s106 agreements, enforcement notices and TPOs. What’s more, you’ll provide support on highways agreements, stopping-up procedures and traffic management orders, amongst other related matters. To do all this, you’ll need considerable experience in a similar role, and exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
Senior Enforcement and Prosecution Lawyer
ME16: £49,827 - £51,837 + upto £5,000 Market Supplement
As a Senior Enforcement and Prosecution Lawyer with us, you’ll manage a caseload of more complex and important enforcement matters, as well as providing expert advice to Council Officers. Alongside experience of criminal litigation and licensing, you should be prepared to act as a legal adviser, attending and advising at Licensing Committees and Sub-Committees. There is also a people management aspect to this position, as you’ll be overseeing staff conducting enforcement cases, so strong leaderships skills will be essential.
Child Care Lawyer
ME14: £42,844.38- £44,790
This is an opportunity to expand your knowledge and/or private practice experience of care proceedings and gain a local authority perspective. A qualified barrister or solicitor, with experience of handling a complex caseload and provide support and advice across the organisation as needed. It’s a role that will call on your communication and people skills, as much as your exceptional legal knowledge and expertise.
Principal Lawyer Regeneration
£65,000 - £80,000
As our expert legal advisor on regeneration schemes in Kingston, you’ll co-ordinate the guidance that’s given across all these projects by other lawyers – and offer individual advice yourself. It’s a role that will see you providing creative legal solutions, independent analysis and decision asking support. Whether you are representing us at governance boards, leading our internal team or liaising with clients, the thing that will really stand you apart is your exceptional people skills. You’ll also need a relevant legal qualification, experience in a property, regeneration and planning, and the confidence to lead and influence people at all levels.
