 Welcome to the South London Legal Partnership. Thank you for your interest in getting to know us and the exciting opportunities we have available.

The South London Legal Partnership (SLLP) is the most successful fully integrated legal service in local government. Having started in 2011 with the London Boroughs of Merton and Richmond it has grown to also provide legal services to the London Boroughs of Sutton, Kingston and Wandsworth councils.

The partnership has over 140 staff and a turnover of £10 million. Over 1 million people are represented by the constituent councils. Operating at scale has enabled it to recruit and retain excellent staff and to provide a consistently high standard of service to client authorities. The quality of the work continues to attract interest from other councils and we are regularly approached to take on more work.

Working across five councils means that there is a wide variety of work. All of the usual legal activity of a London Borough is included but in addition, there is a range of innovative developments trialled by the councils which need flexible and thoughtful legal support.

SLLP’s Vision includes commitment to the development of its people in an inclusive and supportive environment. It has well-established wellbeing programmes and aims to attract and retain a workforce which reflects the diverse communities it serves.
